Saturday, May 27 from to 11 am plan to attend the Country Breakfast at Rockwood United 119 Harris StreetBring your family, friends and neighbours for a delicious breakfast and lively conversation. Breakfast is $10 per person for scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potato casserole, toast, juice, coffee or tea.
If you can help serve, cook, clear tables or clean the kitchen afterwards, please contact Marcia Haworth.

Saturday, May 27 at 1:00 pm join us on Zoom for Spiritual Saturday, a time to connect, pray and recentre yourself.

Sunday May 28 at 10:00 am join us at Stone and on Zoom for Pentecost Sunday and our Pastoral Charge Picnic. Rev. Heather Leffler will lead worship. We will enjoy music of our combined choir, celebrate communion and share a potluck picnic and activities. You are invited to bring your own cutlery, plates, and lawn chairs. Coffee and tea will be provided. If you can help

Tuesday, May 30 at 7:30 pm at Stone, join us for Bible Study, conversation and dessert. Bring your favourite and least favourite quotes from the epistles to share.

Thursday, June 1 at 10 am at Rockwood in Day Hall you are invited to join the ladies for Tea and Talk. Share in the lively conversations, laughter, and enjoy delicious refreshments!

Thursday, June 1 at 7 pm at Stone join the Rockwood Stone Choir Practice.

Saturday, June 3 at 10 am the Affirming Church Discernment Circle invites you to join them at Stone for an information session if you have any questions about the Affirming vote.

at Stone at 9:45 am and for Worship at Rockwood
at 11:15 am. Zoom will open for conversation before worship at Stone at 9:30 am and remain open until after Rockwood’s service.

Sunday June 4 you are invited to the Chimes 15th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser at Rockwood.

Dinner and Show: $20.  Pulled pork dinner starts at 5:30 pm with the show to follow. Show only: $5 (payable at the door): 6:45 pm

Thursday, June 8 from 10 to 11 am men are invited to Coffee Connection on Zoom. Share in the lively conversations and laughter.

Thursday, June 8 at 7 pm at Stone join the Rockwood Stone Choir Practice.

Sunday, June 11 at 10 am join Rev. Heather Leffler and guest speaker Natasha Luth for Rockwood’s Anniversary Service and Lunch at Rockwood and on Zoom. Our guest Natasha Luth from the Queer Christian Community of the Ecumenical Campus Ministry at the UofG, will speak about her personal experience as a Queer Christian and the importance of a continued church community within that identity.

Following worship at 11:15 am we will be voting whether to become an Affirming Church in person and on Zoom.

Plan to stay for a potluck lunch.

Friday, June 16 come to Faith, Food, Friendship and Fun beginning at 6 pm, at Rockwood.

Wednesday, June 21, 7:30 pm at Stone and on Zoom, join the Genesis Book Club to discuss Klara and the Sun, the eighth novel by the Nobel Prize-winning British writer Kazuo Ishiguro, published in 2021. Set in the U.S. in an unspecified future, the book is told from the point of view of Klara, a solar-powered AF (Artificial Friend), who is chosen by Josie, a sickly child, to be her companion. Klara and the Sun offers a look at our changing world through the eyes of an unforgettable narrator. It explores how artificial intelligence might play a role in our future and is a poignant meditation on love and loneliness.

As we continue to be mindful of Covid-19 while worshipping in person, meeting in small groups and sharing meals with one another, please continue to self screen and remain home if you have symptoms. Masking and social distancing is left to your comfort. Please respect the needs and preferences of people around you.

Zoom will be available for any committees or groups who choose to meet online to include people who can’t be there in person. Contact to set up your meeting.
