Saturday, May 27 from 8 to 11 am plan to attend the Country Breakfast at Rockwood United 119 Harris Street. Bring your family, friends and neighbours for a delicious breakfast and lively conversation. Breakfast is $10 per person for scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potato casserole, toast, juice, coffee or tea.

Sunday, June 11 at 10 am join Rev. Heather Leffler and guest speaker Natasha Luth for Rockwood’s Anniversary Service and Lunch at Rockwood and on Zoom. Our guest Natasha Luth from the Queer Christian Community of the Ecumenical Campus Ministry at the UofG, will speak about her personal experience as a Queer Christian and the importance of a continued church community within that identity.
Following worship at 11:15 am we will be voting whether to become an Affirming Church in person and on Zoom.
Plan to stay for a potluck lunch.

Wednesday, June 21, 7:30 pm at Stone and on Zoom, join the Genesis Book Club to discuss Klara and the Sun, the eighth novel by the Nobel Prize-winning British writer Kazuo Ishiguro, published in 2021. Set in the U.S. in an unspecified future, the book is told from the point of view of Klara, a solar-powered AF (Artificial Friend), who is chosen by Josie, a sickly child, to be her companion. Klara and the Sun offers a look at our changing world through the eyes of an unforgettable narrator. It explores how artificial intelligence might play a role in our future and is a poignant meditation on love and loneliness.
